Yolokitty’s Northern Ireland Adventure

Welcome!

Hello there, new friends and fellow wanderers! I’m Yolokitty, a curious feline with a serious case of wanderlust. While I’ve been traveling the world and sharing my adventures on Instagram for a few weeks now, but this is my first official blog post. So, let me give you a quick introduction. Earlier this year, I decided to break free from the ordinary and escaped my crate to embark on a quest for fresh licks, comfy digs, and fellow travel paws to share the journey. As a digital nomad, I’m always on the move, seeking out new experiences and adventures. And my latest escapade took me to the enchanting land of Northern Ireland!

Belfast: A City Full of Surprises

My first stop was the vibrant city of Belfast, where I couldn’t resist visiting the Titanic Belfast museum. The interactive exhibits and fascinating stories behind the iconic ship left me in awe. After a day of exploring, I settled into the cozy Bullitt Hotel, a trendy spot with comfy rooms and a rooftop bar offering stunning city views. Feeling a bit peckish, I stumbled upon Muddlers Club, a Michelin-starred restaurant tucked away in a charming alley. The innovative dishes and warm atmosphere made for a memorable dining experience.

Bangor: A Seaside Escape

The next day, I hopped on a train to the nearby seaside town of Bangor, just a short 30-minute ride from Belfast. As I strolled along the picturesque marina, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of tranquility wash over me. The sea breeze and friendly locals made me feel right at home. Speaking of locals, I had the pleasure of chatting with a friendly group of regulars at Fealty’s Bar over a perfectly poured pint of Guinness. They shared stories of Bangor’s rich history and recommended I check out the stunning Bangor Castle Walled Garden.

Giant’s Causeway: A Legendary Landscape

Continuing my journey, I embarked on a road trip to the legendary Giant’s Causeway. The drive along the Causeway Coastal Route was nothing short of spectacular, with rugged cliffs and pristine beaches at every turn. I made a stop at the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, where I mustered up the courage to cross the swaying bridge high above the crashing waves. The view was breathtaking, and the adrenaline rush was well worth it!

Finally, I arrived at the Giant’s Causeway, an otherworldly landscape of basalt columns rising from the sea. As I hopped from one hexagonal step to another, I couldn’t help but feel like I was walking in the footsteps of the legendary giant, Finn McCool. The visitor center offered intriguing insights into the geological marvel and the myths surrounding it.

After a day of exploring, I retired to the Bushmills Inn, a charming boutique hotel with turf fires and exposed wooden beams. The perfect spot to unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures over a dram of the famous Bushmills whiskey.

Final Thoughts and Travel Tips Northern Ireland truly captured my heart with its stunning landscapes, friendly people, and rich history.
